\"\"<\/a>We are happy to announce the recent publication of the COPAS special issue “Dis-eased: Critical Approaches to Disability and Illness in American Studies,”\u00a0which is guest edited by Gesine Wegner (Dresden) and Tanja Reiffenrath (G\u00f6ttingen).<\/p>\n

The issue critically and productively engages with the sense of dis-ease – the frictions, anxieties, and discomfort – which illness and disability may trigger in literary or (audio)visual works of art and their reception, as well as the irritations or gaps that illness and disability may present in scholarly practice.<\/p>\n

The publication includes critical essays by American and German authors as well as two wonderful creative submissions by Laura Passin and Kenny Fries, all of which can be accessed for free on the journal’s website.<\/a><\/p>\n
