The 25th Meeting of Doctoral Students in Hydrogeology
The Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin) held this year the 25th meeting of Doctoral Students in Hydrogeology organized by the Section of Hydrogeology of the German Society of Geosciences (FH-DGG). The event was organized by two Doctoral Candidates from TU Berlin sponsored by the FH-DGG. Due to field trips and other reasons, only six of the original 10 registered students were able to attend the meeting. The INOWAS group was represented by José Bonilla who gave a lecture about his PhD work and also introduced the junior research group to the audience.
The meeting was preceded by an ice breaking dinner held in the Restaurant „DICKE WIRTIN” in Berlin and followed in the next day by lectures at the Department of Hydrogeology in TU Berlin. As the group was really small, it gave the participants the opportunity to further discuss the lecture presentations. The last day of the trip was dedicated to a visit at the Wasser Berlin International, Trade Fair and Congress for Water Management, where besides visiting the different stands, the participants attended the International Forum organized by DWA, which held the “Young Water Professionals’ Conference”.
For next year, the INOWAS group of TU Dresden is very likely to organize the 26th meeting, but this has to be further discussed internally.
