{"id":95,"date":"2014-10-23T14:39:42","date_gmt":"2014-10-23T12:39:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.tu-dresden.de\/inowas\/?p=95"},"modified":"2014-10-23T16:44:52","modified_gmt":"2014-10-23T14:44:52","slug":"inowas-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.tu-dresden.de\/inowas\/inowas-team\/","title":{"rendered":"INOWAS Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It has been a while since the last post and because our team is now (almost) complete, we would like to introduce to you the people behind the scenes at INOWAS:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-100\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.tu-dresden.de\/inowas\/files\/2014\/10\/2014_10_23_inowas_team.jpg\" alt=\"2014_10_23_inowas_team\" width=\"500\" height=\"285\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.tu-dresden.de\/inowas\/files\/2014\/10\/2014_10_23_inowas_team.jpg 500w, https:\/\/blog.tu-dresden.de\/inowas\/files\/2014\/10\/2014_10_23_inowas_team-300x171.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Since\u00a0mid of September 2014 <strong>Jana Ringleb<\/strong> is\u00a0our youngest member in the INOWAS Junior Research Group. Jana is 25 years old and wrote her Master&#8217;s Thesis in Geoecology at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig, which she successfully graduated in\u00a0March 2014. She is interested in solving hydrological and hydrogeological challenges\u00a0using computer models and that is her major contribution to the project. Jana is a sportive woman who enjoys walking, rock climbing and badminton. You can check her full profile <a title=\"Jana Ringleb\" href=\"http:\/\/tu-dresden.de\/uw\/inowas\/jana_ringleb\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aybulat Fatkhutdinov<\/strong> joined our project at the end of July 2014 for the next four years. &#8216;Bulat&#8217; is 26 years old and graduated last October the\u00a0TU Dresden\u2019s international Master&#8217;s course \u201cHydro Science and Engineering\u201d. Born in Ufa, Russia, Bulat\u00a0is interested in groundwater \u2013 surface water interactions, unsaturated zone flow and application of remote sensing in hydrological investigations and is in charge with the development of the knowledge base platform. You can check his full profile <a title=\"Aybulat Fatkhutdinov\" href=\"http:\/\/tu-dresden.de\/uw\/inowas\/aybulat_fatkhutdinov\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jana Sallwey<\/strong> was the first to join our Junior Research Group since the very early beginning. Jana S. is\u00a029, graduated in Hydrology at TU Dresden in January 2011 and makes a perfect team with Jana R. She is interested in managed aquifer recharge with focus on modelling of groundwater and vadose zone. When she&#8217;s not in front of her monitor Jana\u00a0plays guitar and she likes to get inspired by intercultural exchanges. You can check Jana&#8217;s\u00a0profile page <a title=\"Jana Sallwey\" href=\"http:\/\/tu-dresden.de\/uw\/inowas\/jana_sallwey\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas Fichtner<\/strong> joined the team\u00a0in June 2014 and he is the guy who knows how to fix things. Thomas is 38 years old and got his Diploma in Hydro Sciences at TU Dresden in 2006. After accumulating lot of experience several research projects, he is now in charge for the\u00a0experimental laboratory and field work in the INOWAS project. In his free time, Thomas loves to be in the nature, riding his bike or taking care of his bees.\u00a0Click <a title=\"Thomas Fichtner\" href=\"http:\/\/tu-dresden.de\/uw\/inowas\/thomas_fichtner\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> to visit Thomas&#8217; profile page.<\/p>\n<p>By far the most cheerful person in our group, <strong>Jingxing Guo<\/strong> started to work in our project\u00a0as research assistant in May 2014. \u2018Jing\u2019 or \u2018Juan\u2019, as we call him sometimes, was born in China 29 years ago and beneath various works in the project he supplies the group with excellent handmade Chinese food. You can check Jing\u2019s full profile <a title=\"Jingxing Guo\" href=\"http:\/\/tu-dresden.de\/uw\/inowas\/jinxing_guo\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The world would not be the same without <strong>Claudia Sch\u00f6nekerl<\/strong>, the person who takes good care of our money, contracts, deadlines, almost everything. Claudia is 35 and got her Diploma in Hydro Sciences at TU Dresden in 2002. After graduation, she worked in several research projects at TU Dresden and later broadened her horizon by working for regional environmental authorities. Claudia is a supporter of the most popular football team in Dresden: SG Dynamo Dresden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Catalin Stefan<\/strong> is\u00a0the man behind the wheel and the leader of our group.\u00a0After getting his PhD in groundwater management from TU Dresden in March 2007, Catalin contributed to various research projects at the Institute of Waste Management and Contaminated Site Treatment. He is in charge with the general project coordination and he is very proud of his collection of about 4000 soil samples from all over the world. You can check Catalin\u2019s profile <a title=\"Catalin Stefan\" href=\"http:\/\/tu-dresden.de\/uw\/inowas\/catalin_stefan\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last but definitely not least, we are happy to have in our group <strong>Miguel Moreno<\/strong> who is not officially part of the project but we love him very much for his Mexican food and because he has the longest name among us: Miguel Alonzo Moreno Gomez. Miguel was born in Yucatan province, Mexico, and by the time of publishing\u00a0this article, he is writing\u00a0his Master&#8217;s Thesis.
