Whatever is in the notebook that is not also in the student\u2019s head is not part of what the student has learnt. [\u2026] [E]ven though it represents considerable cognitive investment in a well-organized memory bank, and a bank that will pay dividends when, for instance the student writes a term paper, drawing on this well-organized resource for ideas.<br \/>\n(Perkins 1993, S. 88 f.)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Grundlage f\u00fcr diese Sicht auf die externen Ressourcen ist die Beobachtung, dass kognitive Prozesse nicht allein als innere, geistige Vorg\u00e4nge, sondern vielmehr verteilt \u00fcber Individuen und die Umwelt zu verstehen sind:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c[\u2026] [T]he \u201cmind\u201d rarely works alone. The intelligences revealed through these practices are distributed \u2013 across minds, persons, and the symbolic and physical environments, both natural and artificial.\u201d<br \/>\n(Pea 1993, S. 47)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Die Sichtweise der verteilten Kognition deckt funktionale Beziehungen der Elemente, die an Kognitionsprozessen teilnehmen auf (Hollan, Hutchins &amp; Kirsh 2000, S. 175). Diese funktionalen Beziehungen k\u00f6nnen \u00fcber Individuen oder Gruppen, zwischen internen und externen Strukturen und zeitlich verteilt sein.<\/p>\n<h2>Ein Beispiel<\/h2>\n<p>Der liebensw\u00fcrdige Kellner bringt mir ein Glas Rotwein. Ich habe aber einen Wei\u00dfwein bestellt. Meine Nachbarin wollte den Rotwein. Der Kellner hat offenbar nicht mitgekriegt, dass wir uns umgesetzt haben. So wird seine Behaltenstratgie offensichtlich: Er merkt sich Bestellungen anhand von Sitzpositionen.
