PD Dr. Carsten Junker to co-chair panel at ASA’s Annual Meeting 2018

PD Dr. Carsten Junker, the institute’s new Deputy Head of North American Literature, and Dr. René Dietrich (Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz) will co-chair a panel at the 2018 annual meeting of the American Studies Association (ASA), which is taking place on November 8-11, at Atlanta, Georgia.

Titled “Contradictory Counter-Discourses: Continuing Complicities and Emerging Solidarities“, their panel discusses the contradictory effects of counter-discourses – that is, discourses which address, mobilize, and thus generate counter-publics through various media – with regard to questions of solidarity and complicity.
