Invitation to Meet and Read in Leipzig: Author and Picador Guest Professor Rajesh Parameswaran

The US author and current Picador Guest Professor for Literature at the Institute of American Studies Leipzig, Rajesh Parameswaran, reads from his short story collection  “I am an Executioner: Love Stories”.

Rajesh Parameswaran was born in Chennai, India and moved to the United States as an infant. His works have appeared in Granta, McSweeney’s, and Zoetrope: All-Story and Fiction. Rajesh Parameswaran lives in New York. His short story collection “I am an Executioner: Love Stories” has been published in German at Kiepenheuer & Witsch. The collection of nine short stories deals with the power of love as well as the love for power.

Moderation: Stefan Schubert, Institute of American Studies, University of Leipzig.

The reading and discussion will be followed by a reception offering Pretzels, lemonade, and wine.
